Ingredients (6-8 servings)

  • 200 g of 70% dark chocolate
  • 200 g unsalted butter
  • 5 medium eggs
  • 15 ml of cornstarch
  • 15 ml all-purpose flour
  • 250 g sugar
  • 60 ml of hidden vice cherry liqueur
    product 587311  at the Société des alcools du Québec)
  • 24 sour cherries
  • Optional: 250 ml of chocolate sauce

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Melt together in a bain-marie, the butter and the chocolate cut into small pieces.

Add the sugar while stirring, then leave to cool before incorporating the eggs one by one and still stirring.

Combine the sugar and flour and incorporate them into the mixture.

Bake for 22 minutes, unmold and let rest before cutting into cubes.

In pretty cups, place the morello cherries or other fruits at the bottom, then the cake and sprinkle with the cherry alcohol.

Finish if you wish with whipped cream or chocolate sauce.
